Valentine’s + Game Day Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards are perfect for special occasions! They’re quick to assemble, easy to customize and they feed a crowd!

Having the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day so closely together can be a little stressful for some people! Because it’s two separate occasions that many make plans for both. My best tip is to select options that you really just have to prepare and not cook!

What I mean by this is to select recipes that you put together and forget about! For example, something you can make in the CrockPot! Even better if you select a recipe that you can utilize and re-purpose! Chili is a great example of this! If you make a batch of chili to be served for Valentine’s Day, a portion could easily be reserved for some Super Bowl chili cheese nachos! Another great option is a charcuterie board! And that leads us into today’s recipe!

Ingredients:

  • Your choice of crackers
  • Block of cheddar cheese
  • Block of pepper jack cheese
  • Strawberries
  • Salami
  • Pepperoni
  • Olives
  • Dark chocolate

Directions:

  1. Thoroughly wash and rinse strawberries. Set aside
  2. Slice the cheese as thin or thick as you like. Set aside.
  3. Gently pat dry the strawberries. Then cut the tops of and slice right down the middle. Set aside.
  4. Gather the rest of your ingredients and get the board or platter that you’ll use to serve.
  5. Now it’s time to place all your items onto the you platter/board. This is a great creative moment! So make sure to take your time so you can get your charcuterie board looking exactly how you want to!
  6. You’re all done! Enjoy!

Notes:

  • I like to line my boards with parchment paper! It makes clean up lots easier!
  • If you don’t like a component here switch it out with something else! Grapes, sliced pears, black olives, nuts, brie, prosciutto are all great options!
