Sweet & Creamy Thai Iced Tea

When I go out to eat or get take out from my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, I love getting a nice glass of Thai iced tea. They serve it in these cute to go cups and with boba straws. In addition to looking really nice it also pairs so well with whatever I decide to eat!

Thai iced tea ingredients

Thai iced tea is also incredibly easy and affordable to make right at home! It’s only 3 ingredients and takes no time at all. When I make it I like to make enough to fill a half gallon mason jar, it’s the perfect amount to have on hand for a quick treat.

If you’re having people over for a New Year’s Eve party and you’re not sure what to serve for drinks, you really can’t go wrong with Thai iced tea! Both children and adults love it and will love you for making it! Plus if you’re feeling a little saucy, toss a shot of vanilla vodka for some extra fun!

Ingredients + Tools:

  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 6 teaspoons Number One Brand Thai iced tea mix
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Paper towels or cheesecloth
  • 2 Large mixing bowls or pots
  • Clean storage container with lid

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl or pot add the Thai tea leaves and boiling water. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Line fine mesh strainer with 2 sheets of paper towels or cheesecloth. Place strainer over bowl.
  3. Carefully pour hot tea through lined strainer, separating the leaves from the tea.
  4. Add evaporated and sweetened condensed milk to hot tea. Using a spoon or a whisk stir the milk into the tea until well incorporated.
  5. Transfer tea to storage container and allow to come to room temperature. Once cooled secure with a lid and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  6. Enjoy!!
