A brown where the henna is visible, made from seven organic herbs. No peroxide, no ammonia, no PPD. It processes for about an hour, then keeps developing for two to three days.
The first rinse looks green — lighter than the darker shades get, but green. That is the indigo before it has oxidised. The tone settles around day two, and it settles warm: copper and gold moving through the brown is this shade working as intended.
Brown contains exactly the same seven plants as Dark Brown — not one more, not one less. What separates them is how much of each goes in. Here there is less indigo holding the henna down, so more of the warmth comes through, and more of your own hair shows through with it.
New to plant colour? — how it works, what the three days look like, and what to do if it doesn't land.
Not 99%, not 99.9% — every herb in the pouch is organic, and there is no base powder or carrier underneath them. Each shade is vacuum-sealed to slow oxidation before you open it, and shipped by air from our production facility in India so newer stock reaches you.
Brown adds depth without overriding what is already there. Because plant pigment layers over your own colour instead of replacing it, your own variation stays underneath — which is why the tone shifts between indoor light and sunlight rather than returning one flat colour. It won't lighten hair: this shade can only go darker or warmer than where you started.
Conventional dye lifts your own pigment out and puts synthetic pigment in its place. This one doesn't lift anything — plant pigment layers over the colour you already have, so the cuticle stays shut and there is no damage to repair afterwards. That's the whole trade: it asks for more time, and gives you a result you can repeat for years.
Do not blow-dry your hair after rinsing. The colour is still oxidising, and that reaction needs moisture. Force-drying with hot air stops it where it stands — and where it stands on day one is a violet-purple partway point. It does not resume later. Let hair air-dry, with no heat, for the first 24 hours.
Customer and salon photos, in their own lighting — not shot by us and not retouched. All are finished results, taken after the colour had settled; none show the green stage the first rinse goes through. Photos marked Salon were applied professionally, usually with a longer processing time and more even coverage than most people manage at home.

Results vary with starting colour, grey percentage, porosity and processing time. Brown carries less indigo than the darker shades, so more of your own hair shows through — which makes it the shade where results differ most from person to person.
Portion the powder by hair length:
Plant colour behaves differently on different hair, and at this level it varies more than in the darker shades. First-time customers who don't get the result they expected can have a different shade sent , or a full refund on the colour.
