Organic Hair Colour Powder · 3.5oz

The warmest shade in the range, made from seven organic herbs. No peroxide, no ammonia, no PPD. It processes for about an hour, then keeps developing for two to three days.

How much copper you see depends on where you start. On hair that is already light to mid brown, this reads as full copper. On dark brown or black hair it shows as warmth and red catching the light rather than a change of colour — plant pigment adds, it lifts, and dark melanin is still underneath. It lands brightest of all on grey.

Keep it damp, start to finish. Shower cap while it processes; air-dry afterwards. Do not use a hair dryer at any point. Dry the paste and nothing transfers; dry the hair after rinsing and the colour stops developing. Both end the same way — darker, with no copper.

What " organic" means here

Not 99%, not 99.9% — every herb in the pouch is organic, and there is no base powder or carrier underneath them. Each shade is vacuum-sealed to slow oxidation before you open it, and shipped by air from our production facility in India so newer stock reaches you.

Shine Bright with Naturally Beautiful Copper Brown Hair

Copper is the tone that catches the most light, which is why the state of the surface matters more here than in any other shade. A conventional copper has to lift your own pigment out first, and a lifted cuticle scatters light instead of reflecting it — so the shine has to be added back afterwards, as a coating that washes off. Nothing was opened to put this colour there. The shine isn't something we added; it's the surface your hair already had, left where it was.

That is also why it holds. Henna's lawsone is bonded to keratin in the outer layers, so it wears as the hair wears rather than rinsing out through a cuticle that closed.

How it differs from chemical colour

Conventional dye lifts your own pigment out and puts synthetic pigment in its place — and a copper needs more lifting than a dark shade does, not less. This one doesn't lift anything, so the cuticle stays shut and there is no damage to repair afterwards. That's the whole trade: it costs you the option of going lighter, and saves you everything that comes with it.

What to expect over three days

• Right after rinsing — a faint green cast over the warmth. That's the indigo before it has met the air. Temporary.
• First 12 to 24 hours — the green clears and it goes bright. On grey especially, day one can look startling.
• Around day two — settles into the copper you keep. Judge your colour here, not before.

Copper Brown or Auburn Red?

Both are red-brown, and the difference is which way they lean. Copper Brown runs orange-gold — the warmer, brighter of the two, and the one that lights up most in the sun. Auburn Red runs deeper and truer red, with less gold in it.
