ERGONOMIC DESIGN - 6 stainless steel pins are embedded into this WDT espresso tool handle and are 0.4mm in diameter, we found this gives the combination of rigidity and flex allowing you to break up clumps for a smooth extraction. The espresso stirrer tool features a machined anodized aluminum handle with an ergonomically designed shape to ensure a strong grip and easy manual control.
SELF-ALIGNING STAND AND WEIGHTED BASE - After you've finished grooming your grounds, effortlessly drop the WDT distribution Tool into the self-aligning stand to store it away for the next use. The stand is weighted to provide a stable base and quality feel. Any stray grounds will be contained within the integrated catch tray. Simply dump them out or give the stand a quick rinse to keep your espresso station clean and tidy.
REDUCE CHANNELING ISSUE- The WDT espresso tool thin wires are used to rake the grounds before tamping, which breaks up clumps left behind from your grinder. Left untouched, these clumps can cause uneven pockets or gaps in the tamped coffee bed, which typically leads to channeling and spurting during extraction. Not only does channeling and spurting cause a huge mess, but even worse, these indicate that your coffee is being extracted unevenly, leaving you with undesirable flavors in your cup.
PRO TIPS- With this needle distributor you can have clumps and uniform spread of your ground coffee inside the portafilter before tamping. Works with all espresso machines and portafilters. We highly recommend you can use our MATOW dosing funnel or other dosing funnel with this tool to prevent spilled grounds as you stir grounds.
