My Feta Dip is creamy, savory and oh so satisfying. Serve it with raw vegetables for a delicious and light experience!
I absolutely love this feta dip and I’ll tell you why! It’s super easy and requires very little time to prepare, pairs well with most raw veggies so it’s a healthier appetizer and because of all the color it makes for a stunning presentation! After all, we do eat with out eyes first. To save time the day of, I like to make this dip the night before any special occasion. Like Easter! It allows all the flavors to come together and for it completely cool. I take it out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before serving!
Ingredients:
- 8 oz feta cheese block
- 8 oz cream cheese block
- 10 oz grape tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 5 slices of thick cut bacon
- Everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place 5 slices of bacon onto a baking sheet and cook in the oven until bacon is as crispy as you like it. When it’s done transfer to a plate lined with a cloth or paper towel so it can absorb excess grease. Leave oven on 400°.
- Using your preferred baking dish place feta, cream cheese in it. Arrange grape tomatoes around the cheese and pour Italian dressing over everything. Shake seasonings over everything.
- Bake in the oven until tomatoes burst on their own. About 35-40 minutes!
- While dip is baking take your bacon and break it up into small pieces. You can use your hands or a knife. Set aside.
- Once cheese is completely melted and tomatoes have burst remove from oven. Give the dip a good stir to break everything up. Add your bacon bits and mix well to make sure everything distributed evenly. Allow your dip to cool completely before serving.
- Store in refrigerator.
Notes:
- I like to serve this with baby carrots, english cucumber slices, celery and crackers! More great options; olives, pita bread or chips, raw broccoli.
