My DIY Relaxing Body Scrub will help you achieve soft, smooth skin and help you unwind at the same time. What’s not to like about that?
Self care is an important part of life and it is often advertised as an expensive part of life. But it doesn’t have to be! While there is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing expensive products that bring us happiness, it should also be known that it is not the only way. Buying the basic ingredients for making body scrubs is simultaneously a great way to save money and take your self care seriously! Not to mention that the warm weather is here and many of us want to feel and look our best in our summertime clothes!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup eucalyptus Epsom salt
- 1/4 cup sweet almond oil.
- 3-5 drops peppermint essential oil
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl add the Epsom salt and sweet almond oil, mix well.
- Then add you essential oil to the mixture, mix well again.
- Transfer body scrub into a clean jar or container. Secure tightly with lid.
- Use relaxing body scrub once or twice a week on softened, wet skin. Apply generously all over the body, minus the face, massage gently using circular motions. Rinse well and follow up with your favorite body lotion or oil.
- Enjoy!
Notes:
- For this DIY project I used Dr Teals Eucalyptus & Spearmint Epsom Salt, Now Solutions Sweet Almond Oil and Now Solutions Peppermint Essential Oil.
- Don’t care for peppermint? Feel free to use your favorite essential oil!
- Be careful to not get water into the body scrub! It will stay fresh longer and prevent your scrub from spoiling.
